Road Closure Due to Landslide on National Highway

A section of the Kohima-Mao National Highway-2 near Fesma has collapsed, leading to a complete closure of the affected route, as reported by officials on Sunday.


The road sank approximately four feet early in the morning due to persistent rainfall over the past several days.


In response to the situation, Kohima's Deputy Commissioner B. Henok Buchum has issued travel advisories until further notice to ensure public safety and manage traffic.


The Deputy Commissioner also announced that heavy vehicles traveling from Manipur towards Kohima will be halted at Khuzama.
